Guest-Friendly Hotels Near Soi Cowboy (Asok, Sukhumvit Soi 14–23)

Soi Cowboy at night between Sukhumvit Soi 21 and 23, neon bar signs along the strip

Soi Cowboy runs between Sukhumvit Soi 21 (Asok) and Soi 23, a short walk from both Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. Rooms here skew larger and more business-grade than Nana, because this is an office district by day — which usually means a better room for the money, and a front desk that has seen everything and reacts to none of it.

This is an area page under our main guide to guest-friendly hotels in Bangkok — start there for what “guest-friendly” means, how joiner fees work, and how to check a policy before you pay.

Every hotel below still trades under the name shown and sits in a genuinely guest-friendly pocket of the area. Where we have a full review, the hotel name links to it; otherwise it links straight to the booking page.

Recently renamed — what the other lists still call them

These have changed name and most lists have not caught up, so you will find them under the old brand elsewhere. Each one below is the same building, still trading, just under a new name.

  • Tai-Pan Hotel is now Taipan Hotel — Sukhumvit Soi 23
  • SilQ Bangkok Hotel is now SQ Boutique Hotel — Sukhumvit Soi 19
  • Dream Hotel is now Night Hotel Bangkok – Sukhumvit 15 — Sukhumvit Soi 15
  • Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit Hotel is now Hilton Bangkok Grande Asoke — Sukhumvit Soi 21

The trade-off

This area is more expensive than Nana for the same walk, and the budget end is genuinely thin — the cheap rooms around Asok are mostly unremarkable and no closer to Cowboy than a ฿60 taxi. If you are counting baht, stay at Nana and travel here for the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Soi Cowboy from Asok BTS?

A few minutes on foot — Cowboy runs between Soi 21 and Soi 23, both a short walk from the Asok junction.

Are the big chain hotels around Asok guest-friendly?

Many international-chain hotels take a neutral line: a registered second guest on a double booking is normally routine, but policy varies by property and by staff. Confirm with the hotel directly rather than assuming.

I'm Rich - I've been reviewing Bangkok and Pattaya's nightlife first-hand since 2019. Everything here comes from real visits I pay for out of my own pocket: no bar, agency or massage shop pays for coverage or a rating. Prices and lineups change fast, so I re-check them with readers in the comments and update the pages when they do. If a place has closed or gone downhill, I say so.
